The M2_1 multiplexer is a generic-width 2:1 multiplexer. It chooses data bits from two sources (D1 or D0) under the control of the select input (S0). The output O takes the value D1 if S1 is high, otherwise it takes the value D0. The width of the cell is automatically set by the width of the D0 wire.
