Basic Requirements
Requirements to build and simulate a circuit with JHDL:
- Sun Java JVM version 1.3.0 or later
must be installed on your machine.
- You must also have your classpath set up to point to either your own
compiled version of JHDL or to a JHDL jar file, which you may download
here.
Advanced Requirements
JHDL provides libraries for the XC4000, Virtex and VirtexII Xilinx device
series. In order to create a bitstream targeted to those devices you must
have access to Xilinx tools. Furthermore, because the Xilinx
tools are not compiled for Linux,
Wine (Windows emulator)
must be used to run them if you desire to perform the bitstream generation
within Linux.
